Members of the Executive Sports Network met at the Capitol City Brewing Company after work on Tuesday, July 14th. It was an absolutely beautiful evening in downtown DC. After some appetizers and drinks, the group headed over to Kastles Stadium for the match. We stayed at the Brewing Company talking and networking a little longer than planned, but we were seated just in time to see Serena Williams and the Washington Kastles run out from under the bleachers.
It was tennis with a baseball game atmosphere and basketball game energy with signs, mascots, and crowd participation. RPM's photography intern, who is also a former tennis player, Samantha Wilkins knew exactly what shots to take! She took some amazing pictures that we invite you to see by clicking on "Photo Gallery". Several celebrities |

Photos from the May 16th Event |
They are here! The photos from the May 16th Golf Networking Event are now online. RPM's photography intern, Samantha Wilkins, was at Langston bright and early to capture all of the action on the course. The event was a great success. It threatened to rain, but that didn't scare this group of players. We had several first time golfers, who have now become fans of the sport, and each other! Many connections were made, and we look forward to seeing new and familiar faces at our next event. The photos are available in our NEW online photo gallery. Click here to view the photos. |

After our very successful golf event, the question of the day was - "So what's next?" Although we will have various impromptu events for members only, our next big event will be a tennis event! The date and time will be announced soon. For those of you who like to be prepared for everything, here is some information that will help you understand how the game is played. There is nothing better than hands on experience with a coach, like the coaches that will be at our event, but a general knowlege is also great for those who want a head start. |

The membership is growing and we are adding new features to the website every week. Last week we added the events calendar to the website. The events calendar allows members to search for events by sport, and get detailed information about venues. This week, we have added the job listings. The listings are not just executive level positions, but listings for executives, directors, managers, and business owners who are seeking executives, managers, assistants, and other employees. If you are searching for employees or have a job to share, please click here. |

(FROM USGA.ORG) The Spirit of the Game Unlike many sports, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the game of golf. |

Effective networking takes planning. At ESN, our motto is "ALL WORK, ALL PLAY." Networking the ESN way is exactly that. When we are playing, we are working, and when we are working, we are playing. Networking is a skill that takes follow up, follow through, listening, record keeping, and enthusiasm. If you are weak in any of these areas, join us on our 30 Day Networking Challenge. |
